Houston Rockets star James Harden has been one of the most effective players of the young 2014-15 NBA season. Heading into Thursday night's contest against the in-state rival San Antonio Spurs, Harden had averaged 27.8 ppg and 12.8 FT attempts (with a 95.3 percent conversion rate) through the first five games. He hasn't shot very well from the field (just 38.8 percent), but Harden has hit his three-pointers and gotten to the line enough to register an elite true shooting percentage of 62.9 percent. While the questions about his defense won't go away after just a few games, Harden has also played a strong all-around game, averaging 7.4 assists, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks so far. It's been tough to ask more of him. Harden kept up his excellent play against the shorthanded Spurs with a few stellar highlights.
