Alvin Attles Statement on the Passing of Harvey Pollack
Below is a statement from Golden State Warriors legend Alvin Attles on the passing of Harvey Pollack, who died earlier today at the age of 93. Pollack worked continuously in the NBA dating back to the league’s inception in 1946 and, as head of media relations for the Philadelphia Warriors, was the man who created the “100” sign for Wilt Chamberlain to hold up in the famous photo following Wilt’s record-setting 100-point game for the Warriors in Hershey, PA, on March 2, 1962.
