NEW YORK — On Matt Barnes' second day with the Warriors, his attorney requested that his client's trial in an assault case be pushed back until June 27 — after a possible NBA finals run. "I have reason to believe my client will be playing in the NBA finals," attorney Alex Spiro said Friday, according to the New York Daily News. Barnes, who signed Thursday with Golden State after Kevin Durant suffered a left knee injury, faces third-degree assault charges, a misdemeanor, and obstruction of breathing for his involvement in a Dec. 5 altercation at a Manhattan bar.
