Eighty-three years after holding a regional final in the NCAA men's basketball tournament in 1939, San Francisco will get another chance. The NCAA announced Tuesday that the Pac-12 will host the West Regional from March 24-26 in 2022 at the Warriors' new Chase Center, scheduled to open for the start of the 2019-20 NBA season. Oregon — then known as the Webfoots, not the Ducks — routed Oklahoma 55-37 on its way to winning the inaugural NCAA tournament. The San Francisco-based Pac-12 is "eager to share the madness of March with the city's and Bay Area's passionate sports fans," conference commissioner Larry Scott said in statement.
