Warriors’ Kevin Durant clarifies ‘don’t watch it’ comment
The suggestion, made after the Warriors' Game 3 win Saturday over the Spurs, referenced the litany of blowouts in these NBA playoffs. Many seized on the sound bite, criticizing Durant for encouraging fans to turn off games if they're not happy with the on-court product. The franchise has been so dominant in the postseason that some fans, preferring nail-biters over routs, have argued that Golden State's success is hurting the league's entertainment value. "I know KD, and I don't think he meant anything malicious by saying that," Golden State acting head coach Mike Brown said.
