SAN ANTONIO — In the nearly three years since he went undrafted out of Duke, Quinn Cook's life has slipped into a familiar routine: meeting new teammates, studying a new playbook, competing for a long-term job and scouring a new city for decent restaurants. He has been waived four times and signed three 10-day contracts. Stints last season with New Orleans and Dallas lasted a combined 14 games. Four days before signing a two-way contract with the Warriors in mid-October, Cook was one of Atlanta's final preseason cuts. It all made him understand the value of maximizing his opportunities. A couple turnovers or clanged jumpers, and he would be out of work.
