PHOENIX — Over the past three days, as he heard the chatter about his buzzworthy comments after Thursday night's 20-point loss at Indiana, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr came to realize that many had misread his decision to publicly question how much his team cared. "When I say they didn't care, that can be interpreted as maybe questioning their character," Kerr said before Sunday night's 117-100 win over the Suns at Talking Stick Resort Arena. "I probably chose my words poorly, but what I'm trying to remind our guys is that, in order to win a championship, we better play defense at a high level.
