After spending much of his 15th NBA season testing the limits of his prime, Warriors center David West finds himself in unfamiliar territory: out of the regular rotation. In each of the past four games, West hasn't played in the second half. A player who averaged 13.7 minutes per game in the regular season has logged four minutes and six minutes, respectively, in Games 1 and 2 of the Western Conference finals. West's decreased playing time is rooted largely in the fact that this isn't a great matchup for him. With a small-ball lineup that requires opposing big men to defend guards off ball screens, the Rockets are better-suited for the likes of Kevon Looney, Draymond Green and Jordan Bell.
