Warriors’ late comeback falls short in 3rd straight loss
SAN ANTONIO — The notion of a "moral victory" is typically reserved for losing teams, not ones eyeing their third consecutive NBA championship. But as the Warriors navigate one of their most trying stretches of the Steve Kerr era, they are clinging to any signs of progress. By that measure, their 104-92 loss Sunday night to the Spurs at AT&T Center was filled with positives, even if it was their fifth defeat in seven games. After falling behind by 18 points in the third quarter, Golden State snapped out of its malaise, getting within one with less than four minutes left. It was then, however, that the Warriors' fatigue began to resurface.
