Shortly after their 117-106 preseason win Friday night over Sacramento, the Warriors announced that they've waived guard Michael Gbinije and forward Georges Niang. While Gbinije averaged 3.3 points in four games, Niang averaged 4.0 points in four games. With Gbinije and Niang gone, the Warriors' roster is at the NBA maximum of 15 players, plus one two-way player in Chris Boucher. They have room to add another player to a two-way contract. Gbinije and Niang will likely be designated to Golden State's Gatorade League affiliate in Santa Cruz. Connor Letourneau is a San Francisco Chronicle staff writer. Email: cletourneau@sfchronicle.com.
