Warriors GM Myers enjoys ride — with a big caveat Just past the midway point of the season and about a month from the league's trade deadline, general manager Bob Myers checked in this week to offer an introspective and compassionate look at the Warriors' record-setting start. The team hasn't released an exact timeline for his return, but the head coach has been more involved in game-planning and decision-making lately, made a halfcourt shot after the shootaround Monday and completed his longest road trip of the season (three games) Wednesday. Myers went out of his way to applaud the "resolve and maturity" of interim head coach Luke Walton and the players. The Warriors rank first in the league in scoring, assists and three-pointers, and Myers said he sees the team playing with a new level of confidence instilled from winning the 2015 championship. Myers said the Warriors are having "very, very, very low level" conversations, basically just doing their due diligence by canvassing the league to see what's available.
