TORONTO — In a moment of honesty, Klay Thompson will tell you that he believes he is the NBA's best two-way shooting guard. When President Obama said last week at the White House that Thompson's jump shot is "sweeter" than Stephen Curry's, Thompson nodded in agreement. Curry was selected an All-Star starter by the fans and thanked the millions for voting. "He plays Robin the best as any Robin in the league right now," said TNT analyst Reggie Miller, who led Indiana in scoring nine times and deferred to Jermaine O'Neal, Chuck Person, Jalen Rose and Rik Smits in nine other seasons for the Pacers. Thompson often defends the opposing point guard, which allows Curry to focus on his ball-handling and decision-making responsibilities on offense.
