Stephen Curry’s rehab is progressing, but he’s still ‘doubtful’

Even with the Warriors having been given the day off, Stephen Curry spent a portion of Wednesday at the team's downtown Oakland practice facility, continuing to work his way back from a strained right MCL. Curry, who has missed three straight games since being injured April 24, got rehab treatment and did some on-court work. Curry has been taking standstill shots since Saturday, but as of Tuesday night, he hadn't yet started cutting or even driving to the basket in a straight line. "These days, if you have an MCL sprain, PRPs are oftentimes looked at as a form of treatment," said Dr. Steve Yoon, a physiatrist at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles who has treated a number of professional athletes with PRP. PRPs usually are given in the form of an injection, but they're different from three anti-inflammatory injections Curry took in his sprained left ankle during the 2013 playoffs and far different from the ones Germany by such athletes as the the Warriors' Andre Iguodala and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant.
