Warriors' Green: "It's important to speak out because we're human" Warriors forward Draymond Green, ever candid and outspoken, offered a spirited defense of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick during Golden State's Media Day on Monday. Green, asked about Kaepernick kneeling down during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police killings of African American citizens, questioned why the conversation has centered mostly on Kaepernick and not the issues he's raising. Will anything be done about it? Green said. Green, of course, was suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals in June, after exceeding the maximum number of flagrant-foul points allowed during the postseason.
