Draymond Green triple-double highlights Warriors’ win over Denver

In the waning seconds Monday night, on a missed three-pointer by Stephen Curry, Draymond Green outmuscled the taller Danilo Gallinari for a tip-in. During the ensuing timeout, a capacity Oracle Arena crowd of 19,596 roared as Green's stat line — 15 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds — appeared on the Jumbotron. In a game defined by the Warriors' balanced attack, Green had returned to his triple-double ways. Six Warriors players finished in double digits, led by Klay Thompson (25 points), Stephen Curry (22) and Kevin Durant (21). Though its league-leading 117 points per game received more attention, Golden State was also pacing the NBA in opponent field goal percentage, opponent three-point percentage, steals per game and blocks per game. Despite putting on yet another offensive clinic, they provided numerous open driving lanes and were bullied by the Nuggets' frontcourt duo of Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic. Early in the second quarter, the Nuggets' Will Barton knifed through the key untouched for a one-handed dunk to put his team up 48-46. Warriors players, seemingly in a defensive daze, stood and watched. Since its blowout loss Dec. 10 in Memphis, Golden State is 10-1....
