Warriors rookie Patrick McCaw will make his first career start Tuesday night, filling in for Klay Thompson (rest) against the Heat. Starting McCaw, 21, allows head coach Steve Kerr to keep his second unit intact. A second-round pick from UNLV, McCaw's playing time has fallen off significantly in recent weeks as Ian Clark has beaten him out for the backup shooting guard spot. McCaw was sent down to the NBA Development League for a one-game stint two weeks ago to get more experience. A master at spacing the floor, he leads the league with 10.4 points per game off catch-and-shoot opportunities.
