Warriors’ Patrick McCaw to start against depleted Denver
DENVER — Warriors guard Patrick McCaw will start Monday night against the Nuggets in place of Klay Thompson, who is out with a sore right foot. With Thompson and backup point guard Shaun Livingston (personal) out Monday, head coach Steve Kerr said Briante Weber will play meaningful minutes. Weber, an NBA Development League pick-up who is expected to sign his second 10-day contract Tuesday, has totaled six points, two rebounds and one assist in three appearances. In addition to being without Thompson and Livingston, Golden State won't have centers Zaza Pachulia (right rotator cuff strain) and David West (fractured left thumb). Emmanuel Mudiay (lower back pain), Kenneth Faried (right ankle sprain), Danilo Gallinari (left groin strain) and Darrell Arthur (knee).
