With the weekend festivities in New Orleans done, Golden State has time before Thursday's game against the Clippers to cross items off its to-do list. With Pachulia (strained right rotator cuff) and West (fractured left thumb) sidelined the past eight and 14 games, respectively, Golden State has gotten solid production from a committee of big men JaVale McGee, James Michael McAdoo, Kevon Looney and Damian Jones. Pachulia was thriving in the starting lineup before he got injured, and West's skill set — a knack for spacing, rebounding and passing — is well-suited for the second unit. Golden State might be willing to part with one of its pending free agents not named Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant for a 2017 draft pick. A good example is Patrick McCaw, a second-round pick who is proving as a rookie that he could be a long-term asset for the Warriors. Since a sensational six-week stretch when he averaged 27.5 points and shot 49.6 percent, a run that included co-Western Conference Player of the Month honors, Curry shot 8-for-32 over the two games heading into the break.
