OKLAHOMA CITY — Speaking to reporters after Warriors shoot-around Monday, Steve Kerr disputed a recent ESPN report claiming that Golden State was "furious and bewildered" about Thunder leadership's handling of Kevin Durant's first return here Feb. 11. The ESPN report, posted Sunday night, indicated that the Warriors believed that someone from Thunder ownership or management "should have addressed the media on Durant's behalf to help ease the tension upon his return." Though Oklahoma City's in-game operations staff didn't acknowledge Durant's return, general manager Sam Presti told ESPN in the lead-up to the game, "We are very appreciative of Kevin's contributions during the first eight years of the Thunder." After shoot-around Monday, Warriors guard Stephen Curry seemed amused by the report, which didn't name or quote anyone from the Golden State organization. Before addressing reporters, he joked to Warriors vice president of communications Raymond Ridder that "sources say I'm furious and don't want to talk to media."
