Warriors take Game 2 against Spurs in a laugher

Less than two hours before the Warriors' 136-100 rout Tuesday night of San Antonio, Mike Brown was about to pull into Oracle Arena when he noticed the Spurs' team bus and its motorcade in his rearview mirror. Golden State's acting head coach, driving his black Range Rover, turned right at a red light when a police officer sped in front of him and yell: "Hey you, stop!" Within moments, five cops were swarming Brown's vehicle. With MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard sidelined by a sprained left ankle, the Spurs offered little resistance as the Warriors cruised to their second most lopsided victory in postseason history. By the time they entered halftime with a 28-point lead, the Warriors had eliminated any suspense from a game San Antonio likely needed to have a viable shot at winning the seven-game series. Two days after overcoming a 23-point, second-half deficit to steal Game 1, the Warriors shot 56.2 percent from the field and 18-for-37 from three-point range. Stephen Curry, who had 29 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in 30 minutes, watched the entire fourth quarter from the bench as Golden State pushed its franchise-best start in the playoffs to 10-0.
