Bob Myers discusses Steve Kerr's continued absence from bench The Warriors didn't greet their sweep of San Antonio in the Western Conference finals with champagne showers or locker-room dancing. The subdued celebration was the product of their championship-or-bust expectations, sure. [...] it was also the result of Steve Kerr's continued absence from the bench. "Somebody asked me if going to the Finals three times in a row is muted because of what's going on," general manager Bob Myers said. [...] our head coach can't coach. For the first time since May 7, Myers met with reporters Thursday. Nothing has changed, and the team still doesn't know when Kerr will return to the sideline.
