Paul George supposedly told his former Pacers teammates for years he wanted to join the Lakers. The Lakers reportedly received word not to trade for George, because he might just sign in Los Angeles anyway in 2018 free agency. George told the Pacers he'd leave Indiana, reportedly preferably for the Lakers.
