DENVER — In one of the weekend's premier college football games nationally, No. 24 Michigan State upset No. 7 Penn State, 27-24, in East Lansing, Mich., on Saturday. It was a ripe opportunity for Spartans head men's basketball coach Tom Izzo to impress recruits with Michigan State's school spirit. The problem? Izzo spent Saturday in Denver watching two of his former players — Warriors forward Draymond Green and Nuggets guard Gary Harris — play in the NBA. Before the game, Izzo gave Green some blunt feedback. "In the nicest way he possibly could today, he told me, 'Like, yo, what are you doing?'" Green recalled. "'You cry about every call.
