Shorthanded Warriors showcase depth in win over Portland
More than any team they face, the Warriors' biggest opponent is their tendency to get complacent. Making up Stephen Curry's 26.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game has been the challenge Golden State needed to keep inattention at bay. By that measure, Draymond Green's addition Monday to the inactive list was a bit of good news: There are few better ways to inspire focus than being asked to replace two All-Stars. In their 111-104 victory over the Trail Blazers at Oracle Arena, the depleted Warriors reinforced the notion that their talent extends far beyond the household names.
