Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been named the Western Conference Player of the Month for January, the NBA announced Thursday. In helping lead Golden State to an 11-3 record, Curry averaged a league-high 29.5 points on 51.4 percent shooting from the field and 46.3 percent shooting from three-point range, 5.1 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.5 steals in 34.3 minutes in 12 games. Curry had a season-high 49 points on 16-for-24 shooting from the field, including 8-for-13 from three-point range, in Saturday's win over Boston. This is Curry's seventh Player of the Month honor of his career, and the 11th time a Warriors player has earned the recognition.
