SACRAMENTO — After most games, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr scans the box score for two categories: turnovers and shot differential. Results tend to reinforce a fundamental truth. If Golden State protects the ball and shoots more than its opponent, it has a much better chance of winning. It is why perhaps nothing frustrates Kerr more than watching his players pile up head-scratching turnovers. By that measure, Friday night was disheartening for a Warriors team trying to enter the All-Star break with precision. In its 119-104 win over the Kings at Golden 1 Center, Golden State coughed up the ball 25 times, one shy of the season-worst 26 turnovers it piled up Oct. 29 against Detroit.
