PORTLAND, Ore. — Life in the G League is stripped of the NBA's perks. Professional basketball's striving class curls into coach seats on commercial flights, sleeps in budget hotels in such outposts as Sioux Falls, S.D, and Erie, Pa., and spends meager per diems at an array of chain restaurants. But in the case of Warriors guard Patrick McCaw, the G League offered the one luxury he wanted: extended playing time. Now, after splitting last weekend between the NBA's best team and its G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, he hopes to resuscitate a floundering season. "At this point, I just know I'm growing as a basketball player," McCaw said. "That's really all I care about.
