LOS ANGELES — For the second straight year, Warriors guard Klay Thompson arrived at the three-point contest as the prohibitive favorite, only to watch a new champion hoist the trophy. Suns guard Devin Booker drained 20 of his 25 three-pointers for a final-round record of 28. After watching Booker hit nine of 10 on his last two racks, Thompson scored 25 points to finish second. It was a tough blow for a player who prides himself on being one of the most efficient shooters in NBA history. "In-and-outs hurt," Thompson said. "That's life. You have to push ahead." Warriors guard Stephen Curry again declined his annual invitation to the contest to limit his All Star-weekend workload.
