The Warriors have waived forward Omri Casspi, the team announced after Saturday night's 126-120 loss to New Orleans. Per the terms of his two-way contract, point guard Quinn Cook needed the front office to cut someone on a guaranteed deal to free up a spot for him on the playoff roster. Casspi, who has missed the past 11 games with a sprained right ankle, was the most logical candidate. Though he has thrived at times this season as a rim-cutter, the 29-year-old, who is on a one-year, veteran-minimum deal, has been hampered by inconsistency and struggled to carve out a regular place in the rotation. He has logged double-digit minutes only four times since Feb. 3.
