When Kobe Bryant sat out the Los Angeles Lakers' final game of the regular NBA season, he said he was doing it for his team. In the meantime, he lost the 2011-12 NBA scoring title to Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Bryant needed to score 38 points to win the title but chose to sit, allowing Kevin Durant to win it for the third consecutive year. However, by doing so, Bryant disrespected Durant and the Thunder.
