Moses Moody feels ‘great’ after calf injury return in Warriors’ loss to Blazers

Moses Moody looked healthy when returning from his left calf injury and making his 2025-26 NBA season debut in the Warriors’ 139-119 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday at Moda Center.And the fifth-year veteran forward confirmed the sentiment when speaking with reporters at Golden State practice on Sunday at Chase Center.“I’m good. I’m ready to go,” Moody said. “Yeah, I feel great.”Moody, who returned after missing the Warriors’ last three preseason games and first two in the regular season, played 21 minutes in the loss.While he finished with a quiet seven points on 1-of-6 shooting and was minus-12 in plus/minus rating, it still was encouraging to see the 23-year-old getting real reps and running up and down the floor.“It was really minor, no structural damage or anything,” Moody said of his injury recovery. “I got the MRI, but it was really just [about] strengthening it and [being] precautionary. So, I’m in a good place.”Coach Steve Kerr added that Moody — who said he fortunately was able to get shots up during his absence — appears to be ready to ramp up...
