Jonathan Kuminga was all smiles on Tuesday night as it didn’t take but one quarter for the forward to make himself at home with the Atlanta Hawks. The 23-year-old, who was traded from the Warriors for Kristaps Porziis last month, made his debut for Atlanta and had a night to remember with a season-high 27 points as the Hawks routed the Wizards 119-98. Following the game, Kuminga spoke with FanDuel Southeast’s Hawks sideline reporter Madison Hock and spoke about why he seemed to be having so much fun during his debut.“Just the group of guys we’ve got,” Kuminga said. “Collectively, we all mess around every time and just bringing a joy to the game, it means a lot. It’s very important.” JK JK JK pic.twitter.com/4LNMdrccZ1 — Atlanta Hawks (@ATLHawks) February 25, 2026 Kuminga came off the bench and helped lead the Hawks to a 35-20 first quarter while scoring seven points on 3-of-4 shooting.
