Thursday was a special day for the Curry family.Steph and Seth Curry were in attendance at Spectrum Center in Charlotte as their father, Dell, had his No. 30 retired by the Hornets at halftime of their game against the Orlando Magic.Seth gave a speech during the ceremony and dropped a memorable quip — a testament to the family’s impact on the NBA and basketball as a whole over the last 40 years.“Growing up, that No. 30, nobody really wanted to wear it, to be honest,” Seth declared. “Now, it’s iconic, mainly because of the blue and yellow.” Of course, Steph inherited that number from his father and further has enhanced its legacy during his own legendary career; a blue-and-yellow No. 30 Curry jersey inevitably soon will be raised to the rafters of Chase Center as well.
