The Warriors are adding much needed size as they continue to deal with injuries at the center position. Golden State signed center Charles Bassey to a contract, the team announced Sunday after HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto first reported the news. In five NBA seasons with Philadelphia (2021-22, 25-26), the San Antonio Spurs (2022-25), Memphis Grizzlies (2025-26), and Boston Celtics (25-26), Bassey has averaged 4.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game on 63.1-percent shooting from the field in 121 career games (three starts). The Warriors currently are without backup centers Al Horford (strained right calf) and Quinten Post (right foot soreness), so Bassey, if signed by Golden State, will provide depth at a depleted position currently held down by just Kristaps Porziis and Draymond Green.
