Warriors star Draymond Green currently is in the third year of the four-year, $100 million contract extension he signed back in 2023.Green’s deal also includes a $27.6 million player option for the 2026-27 NBA season, giving the four-time All-Star the flexibility to either stay in Golden State for another year or become an unrestricted free agent.The former NBA Defensive Player of the Year revealed what he would like to do once contract negotiations begin during the upcoming offseason.“In an ideal world, I think the best path would be to decline and extend,” Green told Tim Kawakami on “The TK Show.”“If I had it my way, I think that would be the best path forward. But in saying that, and having great representation, we worked really hard to get this option year when it was time for us to negotiate this contract.
