A decision on Steve Kerr’s Warriors future will have to wait at least another week.The longtime coach met with Golden State owner Joe Lacob and general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. for two hours on Monday, but no resolution was met, ESPN’s Shams Charania, Anthony Slater and Ramona Shelburne reported in a joint column Wednesday, citing sources.Both sides described the meeting as “productive,” per ESPN, and they will meet again next week to continue discussions.Kerr is going on a golf trip this week, a trip that already was planned, while those close to the coach told ESPN he is torn about the decision.“It’s April,” one source told ESPN. “We don’t need to rush.”Lacob and Warriors management have not started a coaching search, ESPN reported, citing league sources.The Warriors finished the 2025-26 NBA season with a 37-45 record and missed the playoffs for the second time in three seasons.Kerr joined Golden State in 2014, taking over the role Mark Jackson had held for three seasons prior, and led the Warriors to six NBA Finals appearances and four NBA titles during his 12 seasons with the team, most recently in 2022.Kerr also won...
