— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) July 1, 2026 Coming off ACL surgery in December 2024, Melton last October signed a two-year contract worth $6.5 million to return to the Warriors and made $3.1 million during the 2025-26 campaign. While it appeared obvious he vastly would outplay the money included in his player option for 2026-27, his production started to slump toward the end of the season, when Steph Curry was out and Melton had to fight through injuries himself to try and fill the scoring void.
