SAN FRANCISCO – Another California Classic has come and gone, but this year’s tuneup before Las Vegas NBA Summer League had a bit of a wrinkle. The Warriors carried two teams: One that played at Chase Center and one that played at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. With the Warriors Gold team playing in front of their home crowd and featuring players such as Yaxel Lendeborg, Will Richard, Lajae Jones, LJ Cryer, Malevy Leons and other names that have played for Golden State or will be playing for the team this season, we’re focusing on them.
Warriors Gold went 2-1 at the California Classic. They dominated their first two games and then lost by 10 points in Monday night’s finale as most of their top players sat for rest.
