As July nears its end, the Warriors remain the only NBA team to not acquire any new players this offseason. They have brought back all three centers in Al Horford, Kristaps Porziis and Charles Bassey. They also have brought back guard De’Anthony Melton, who officially will be signed in the near future, depending on what kind of exception he falls under. They also have added Yaxel Lendeborg (No. 11 overall) and Lajae Jones (No. 54 overall) through the NBA draft.
As I was typing this, they brought back Draymond Green, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Most notably, the Warriors whiffed on the LeBron James sweepstakes, leaving them mostly in the same place months after finishing a 37-win season where two of their top players are rehabbing leg injuries.
