Injuries to Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody already have the Warriors shorthanded to start the 2026-27 NBA season two-plus months from now.Butler is rehabbing a torn right ACL he sustained seven months ago, two months before Moody ruptured his left patellar tendon. Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy met virtually with reporters Tuesday and spoke positively about their rehabs. He also isn’t anywhere close to sharing a target return date for either player.
“They’re in a good spot with their rehabs,” Dunleavy said. “They’re doing well, and we haven’t even gotten to the point of readiness, availability, when they may be back. We just know night one, October 21st against the Lakers those guys won’t be available.”
Nor will they shortly after.
“And they won’t be available in the near term after that,” Dunleavy continued. “So we’re prepared for it, and we look forward to getting them back when we can. But we haven’t nailed down a timeline yet.”
