Once again, the Warriors are entering the 2026-27 NBA season with a roster that looks relatively the same, failing to add any new players after a 35-47 finish last season and no playoff appearance. But according to owner Joe Lacob, that was not the plan. In fact, the Warriors tried to lure in at least two players with big offers in recent months.Speaking on “The TK Show” — a podcast hosted by Tim Kawakami — Lacob and Kawakami talked about the Warriors’ draft picks this offseason and whether or not having these young guys develop for the future is more valuable than getting guys who can help them win now. And Lacob’s answer suggests that the Warriors are always open to making moves that will help them return to the championship conversation.
“It’s like anything, it’s like any other trade,” Lacob told Kawakami. “We have to make a good trade, we have to make a trade that makes sense.
