Jonathan Kuminga has found a new home following his first foray into unrestricted NBA free agency.The former top Warriors draft pick has agreed to a two-year, $13 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves that includes a player option, his agent Aaron Turner told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Wednesday.
Per Charania, Kuminga will start for the Timberwolves during the 2026-27 NBA season. The Hawks subsequently declined Kuminga’s $24.3 million team option in June after the young forward averaged 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds across 16 games with them.
