When the Warriors head to Hawaii for training camp on Monday, big man Kristaps Porziis will not be on the flight.General manager Mike Dunleavy revealed at Golden State’s media day on Monday that Porziis is dealing with an unspecified health issue and will be out for the start of the preseason.
“Kristaps is going to be out indefinitely with a health issue that I was informed about yesterday, so he’ll miss the start of camp here. Don’t have a timeline for him or anything further than that,” Dunleavy said, adding that Porziis was at the team facility the previous week and was doing well at the time.
When asked if the current problem is related to postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) or a similar issue Porziis previously has dealt with, Dunleavy replied he was unable to comment further.
