It might be hard to believe Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski is entering his fourth NBA season at just 23 years old.Speaking with NBC Sports Bay Area’s Bonta Hill and Dalton Johnson on “Dubs Talk,” Podziemski detailed the importance of taking his time as he grows within a championship-level organization.
“Obviously, it’s well known I want to be great, and I want to accomplish things individually and as a team,” Podziemski said. “But it requires patience, learning, actually going through those situations being guarded by the number one, number two guys. That all takes time, and you think you can just skip that step, but everything is a step the same way it was for Steph (Curry) and Klay (Thompson) when they were younger.”
Since being selected with the 19th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Podziemski has been a mainstay in the Warriors’ rotation.
Podziemski has spent more time as a Warrior than the majority of the roster, despite being five months younger than rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, earning coach Steve Kerr’s trust over the years.
