Arguably the biggest departure from the Warriors during this past NBA offseason was big man Quinten Post. The 26-year-old from the Netherlands signed a three-year, $30 million offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies in July as a restricted free agent, and Golden State opted not to match.
On Friday, Post is set to make a very quick return to Chase Center to face his old team for the first time. He spoke with Michael Wallace of Grind City earlier in the day to discuss the emotions of coming back to the Bay.
“Yeah, I mean, I was always very grateful to the Warriors organization,” Post explained. “You know, they drafted me, they gave me a chance out of the G-League. I didn’t start up [in the NBA]; I started in their G-League system. And so it’ll always be a place that’s special to me. The city of San Francisco is great and great organization, but now we’re here.
“I’m really happy to be here, and tonight I just want to kill them, to be honest.” "I'm always very grateful to the Warriors organization… but tonight I just want to kill them to be honest."
