SAN FRANCISCO – No matter who’s on the roster, the Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies are guaranteed to get testy with one another. Some teams simply just can’t stand each other.

That was seen Friday night when they had a handful of kerfuffles on the court. Bad blood became a bad Warriors loss, falling 111-108 to the Grizzlies at Chase Center. The Warriors were outscored 27-18 in the fourth quarter, and the Grizzlies ended on a 17-2 run, with Golden State’s only points being two meaningless free throws.

Anybody who said the Warriors didn’t miss Brandin Podziemski in the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers was proven wrong. Podziemski dropped 18 points, tied with Yaxel Lendeborg for the second-most on the Warriors. Lendeborg tallied his first double-double in the NBA with 18 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, though he also had six turnovers as a minus-9.
