Stephen Curry on 2017 free agency: ‘I want to be back here’

Looming over the most hyped Warriors season in franchise history is Stephen Curry's upcoming free agency. Though the questions will only mount as time wears on, the two-time NBA MVP is intent on not letting them become a distraction. Curry, 28, is in the final season of the four-year, $44 million deal he signed when coming off ankle injuries in 2012. The team's fourth-highest paid player at $12,112,359 this season, he could sign a long-term contract in free agency that would more than double his current annual salary.
