Warriors waive Elgin Cook, Scott Wood

Golden State, which currently carries a roster of 18 players, will trim down to 15 the day before its regular-season opener Oct. 25. With Cook and Wood gone, four training-camp invitees are still vying for the Warriors' 15th spot: Cook, an undrafted rookie out of Oregon, totaled four points and 18 minutes in two preseason games with the Warriors. A former N.C. State standout who played the past three seasons in Spain, Wood scored three points in 12 minutes over two preseason games.
