Warriors forward Andre Iguodala lost his longtime agent over the All-Star break, when Rob Pelinka agreed to become general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers. Pelinka was instrumental in working with Warriors general manager Bob Myers, also a former agent, to bring Iguodala to Golden State in July 2013. [...] Pelinka joins forces with Magic Johnson, who will serve as Lakers president of basketball operations, and head coach Luke Walton, a former Warriors assistant. The hiring of Pelinka seemed like another example of the Lakers following the Warriors blueprint. First came Walton, then the once-novel idea of turning an accomplished agent into the GM. [...] it's kind of like a college going back to its roots, and the Lakers are doing the same thing bringing Magic back. "Obviously individually both are very talented players, and I'm sure they'll try their best to push for the playoffs," Pachulia said. Paul to return?: Clippers point guard Chris Paul, sidelined since January 16 with a torn ligament in his left thumb, could return for Thursday night's game against the Warriors.
