Thirty seconds into the Warriors' 114-100 win Friday night over the Kings at Oracle Arena, Klay Thompson faced a two-on-one situation in transition. Instead of driving to the rim, a decision no coach could have faulted, he bounce passed to a trailing Patrick McCaw. After dribbling into the key, the two-time reigning NBA MVP found Draymond Green at the top of the arc. With Thompson laboring through an off shooting night, Curry (27 points) and Green (season-high 23) shouldered much of the offensive load. Before Steve Kerr became head coach in 2014, the Warriors subsisted on dribble penetration. In the waning seconds of the second quarter, Curry corralled the defensive rebound, took two dribbles and, without looking down court, heaved a long-distance pass to Matt Barnes for the layup. Less than four weeks after Durant sustained a left knee injury in their Feb. 28 loss at Washington, the Warriors are looking like the selfless, pass-happy club that cruised through the season's first few months.
